Installation
The EZ mount system does improve the ease of installation. Just make sure you pull the rubber gasket down low enough so that the locking ring can twist over the gasket without obstruction. This is a common installation problem, but once you know what to look for and what the problem is installation is easy enough.
The Legend 8000 features an electric cord with a 3-prong plug, so if you are replacing a unit that was hard-wired into your house electricity, be aware that you need to install a plug box to accept the plug.
Also remember that you’ll need plumber’s putty if you do not have a stainless steel sink. It is not included with the product.

At the heart of this unit sits a powerful 1.0-horsepower motor, which gives you enough power to trash pretty much anything you’d normally need to expose of in a kitchen. Even jam-prone debris like celery stalks will well and truly meet their match here.

The biggest drawback to this unit is the smaller intake due to the EZ mount system. This isn’t a major problem, but is a deal breaker for some people. The unit is also tall and bulky (see dimensions at the bottom of this page), which may make installation more difficult.
