The Waste King 9920 is a high RPM 0.5 HP entry level garbage disposer. For the price you get solid power and performance along with easy installation at an affordable price. Warranty is only 2 years though and you may wish to spend a little extra on the Waste King L-2600 with its 5 year warranty.

Pros: Good performance, easy installation, power cord included, good value

Cons: Jams can be hard to clear, 2 year warranty only

Waste King 9920 Review

The 9920 is Waste King’s entry level 0.5HP garbage disposal unit. The major difference between this and the more popular L-2600 model is that the 9920 has a galvanized steel grind system versus the stainless steel system on the 2600.

Obviously the latter model will be more rust and corrosion proof than the 9920. This begs the question then: is there any sense in saving 10 or 20 bucks and getting this model instead of the 2600 with its better warranty and stainless steel insides?
