Waste King Legend 9940 Review

  • by

[ag-before-rating]Review Summary:
The Waste King 9940 is basically an exact copy of the L-3200 model, with the only change being the mounting system. The 9940 has a 3-bolt mount, while the L-3200 features Waste King’s EZ mount.

In other words, this review will not be a lot different to that one. You’re getting great performance, a combination of stainless steel grinding components and a glass-filled nylon housing to prevent corrosion and an 8-year warranty. This is a super product at a competitive price.

Pros: Performance, easy installation, power cord included, warranty

Cons: Bulky

Waste King Legend 9940 Review

With 2,700 RPM of grinding power backed up by a 3/4 HP motor, there’s not a lot that this garbage disposal won’t be able to handle. It has a slightly smaller capacity than the Waste King 9950 (also a 3/4 HP model), so that’s worth considering.

As usual, Waste King packs solid performance and sensible build quality into an almost budget-priced product. It’s no wonder their disposals are so popular.Read More »Waste King Legend 9940 Review

Waste King L-1001 Legend Series Review

[ag-before-rating]Review Summary:
The Waste King L-1001 garbage disposer offers decent 1/2 HP performance at a good price, but it makes more sense to consider the stainless steel grinding chamber and 5 year warranty offered by the (only slightly) more expensive Waste King L-2600.

Pros: Compact, good performance, easy installation, power cord included

Cons: 2 year warranty only, better options available for not much extra

Is there anything to make this unit worth the few bucks you save over better quality models? Let’s have a quick look.Read More »Waste King L-1001 Legend Series Review

Waste King L-3300 Review

[ag-before-rating]Review Summary:
The Waste King L-3300 is one of the best value 3/4 HP garbage disposals your money can buy. With a 10 year warranty, stainless steel guts and powerful performance, this should give you many happy years of continuous feed garbage disposal.

Pros: Strong performance, removable splash guard, easy installation, great value, big warranty

Cons: Small feed opening, loud on startup

Waste King L-3300 Review

Waste King is known for the excellent value their products bring to the market, and the L-3300 is another solid entry in their lineup. This is a powerful 3/4 HP continuous feed unit that spins up to 2,700RPM, so keep your hands safely out of it.

The price is right, the specs look good, it’s stainless steel and the warranty blows most other garbage disposals on the market out of the water. Let’s see what this unit has to offer and if it’s a good one to recommend.Read More »Waste King L-3300 Review

Waste King 9920 Review – Solid Entry-Level Garbage Disposal

  • by

[ag-before-rating]Review Summary:
The Waste King 9920 is a high RPM 0.5 HP entry level garbage disposer. For the price you get solid power and performance along with easy installation at an affordable price. Warranty is only 2 years though and you may wish to spend a little extra on the Waste King L-2600 with its 5 year warranty.

Pros: Good performance, easy installation, power cord included, good value

Cons: Jams can be hard to clear, 2 year warranty only

[/ag-before-rating]

Waste King 9920 Review

The 9920 is Waste King’s entry level 0.5HP garbage disposal unit. The major difference between this and the more popular L-2600 model is that the 9920 has a galvanized steel grind system versus the stainless steel system on the 2600.

Obviously the latter model will be more rust and corrosion proof than the 9920. This begs the question then: is there any sense in saving 10 or 20 bucks and getting this model instead of the 2600 with its better warranty and stainless steel insides? Let’s take a look.Read More »Waste King 9920 Review – Solid Entry-Level Garbage Disposal

Waste King Legend Series L-111 Review

  • by

[ag-before-rating]Review Summary:
The Waste King L-111 garbage disposer is an affordable, low power unit that performs its intended function admirably. You can get better and more powerful garbage disposers for only $20 or $30 more, but if this is all you want to spend the L-111 won’t disappoint.

Pros: Good grinding performance, easy installation, affordable, power cord included

Cons: 2 year warranty only, not for heavy duty

[/ag-before-rating]

Waste King L-111 Review

The Waste King 111 is a basic, low powered 1/3 HP garbage disposal unit. It is not meant for heavy duty work and is suitable only to small households (1-2 people) needing to dispose of a limited amount of garbage.

It’s quite affordable though, and seems to be a good choice as a low-duty, good value garbage disposal unit. Let’s take a closer look at what you can expect from this unit.Read More »Waste King Legend Series L-111 Review
